The Plymouth Mahogany- Quartz
The Plymouth Mahogany- Quartz
The Plymouth is modeled after the Victorian English Dial Clocks that were manufactured in England from the late 1800’s to mid 1930’s. Like most English Dial clocks, the dial is inscribed with the maker’s name, Comitti, as well as the town manufactured, London. The wooden case is made of solid mahogany that has been hand polished to a gentle gloss finish. The 10 inch dial is made with an enamel finish and features two false keyholes to mimic a traditional English Dial Clock. The movement of this model is a high precision quartz movement that requires only one AA battery. It’s low maintenance, and only needs to be re-set for daylight savings. Unlike most quarts clocks made today, the hands are period correct and made of thick steel with a black coating. The bezel housing a mineral glass is affixed to the case and made of lacquered brass. The construction of this clock is designed with the highest regard to quality, and is built to last.
